Discover our printing technology, which underpins our services and ensures high print quality.
Introducing our revolutionary printing technology
We use digital printing technology, which offers higher quality and lower implementation costs than traditional offset printing. Our HP Indigo printing presses are marvels of modern technology. They are unrivalled in terms of reliability, flexibility and pages-per-minute output. We have several machines in-house capable of handling a range of print runs, from small to large.
HP Indigo – reliable quality
To understand what makes HP Indigo machines so versatile, you need to understand how images are produced on the printed substrate. We are not a ‘digital print shop’ with photocopiers or toner-based printers. You won’t be disappointed with the quality of our work. Thanks to digital technology and the use of liquid inks, we can produce prints without any troublesome complaints about print quality.
Training in the operation and maintenance of machinery, including its calibration, is essential
An HP Indigo printing system with perfectly calibrated colours is the key to customer satisfaction with print quality. Our machines operate fault-free because we are able to resolve technical issues ourselves. We repair and service HP Indigo printing systems for our industry colleagues. We are not afraid of competition.
Digital offset technology was developed for modern and discerning customers who value quality and fast turnaround times. HP Indigo printing presses resolve, once and for all, the dilemma between choosing digital or offset printing.
The unique “ElectroInk” product
HP Indigo printers use an ink called ‘ElectroInk’. But is ElectroInk actually ink or toner? What are the differences? Ink is a liquid or paste that contains dyes or pigments and is most commonly used for printing on various substrates. Inks can be made from natural organic compounds or synthetic materials. When applied to a printing substrate such as paper, inks soak into the surface of the printed item, creating a permanent change in the colour of the substrate.
The same density and pigmentation as in offset printing
Toner, on the other hand, is not liquid like ink, as it actually takes the form of a very fine powder. Toner is mixed with a binding polymer which acts as an adhesive when it comes into contact with the surface of the material being printed. This polymer holds the liquid toner particles onto the substrate. ElectroInk is, in fact, a specialised form of toner in a liquid state – an ink which, thanks to the technology used, has a density and pigmentation similar to that found in offset printing.
HP Indigo pigments are suitable for printing on almost any offset surface
This is important because toner is usually more expensive than ink and has different printing and drying properties. HP Indigo ink can be used on almost any offset substrate – ranging from standard offset substrates to coated papers and papers with textures and embossed finishes. Toner generally requires flat substrates that allow the binding polymers to activate and thus fix the printed image to the substrate. Powder-based (toner) printing devices are not suitable for professional printing works.
